I have had my lovebird for about 3 years, and I was looking into buying another one to keep him company.
What are some steps that I need to take in order to make sure this is done safely? I haven't found much information on the subject so I am unaware if this is even possible. If I did get another lovebird, I would want to get a young one so I could tame him myself, just like I did with the lovebird I have now. Could I possibly put the new bird in a separate cage and allow them to slowly get to know each other, then try introducing them?
I don't want to do anything that will risk the lives of either bird, so I'd appreciate as much advice and reccomondations as possible.
Thanks a lot! |
